The Urban Service: 6-Step Fridge Sanitization Process
We use a meticulous process that prioritizes food-safe chemicals and thorough detailing:
Step 1: Emptying & Sorting We carefully remove all food items, dairy, and containers. Note: We recommend customers move perishables to a cooler bag before we arrive.
Step 2: Component Deep Soak All removable parts—shelves, bottle racks, egg trays, and vegetable bins—are removed and soaked in a specialized antibacterial solution to dissolve dried-on spills and stains.
Step 3: Internal Steam/Manual Sanitization We clean the interior walls, ceiling, and floor of the fridge using food-grade sanitizers. We pay special attention to the drainage hole to prevent water buildup and odors.
Step 4: Gasket & Seal Detailing The rubber door seals (gaskets) are a hotspot for mold. We deep clean these folds to ensure a tight, hygienic seal that also improves cooling efficiency.
Step 5: Exterior Polishing & Coil Dusting We clean the outer body, handle, and top of the fridge. If accessible, we also dust the condenser coils at the back to help the compressor run cooler and save electricity.
Step 6: Deodorizing & Reassembly Once dry, we place a natural deodorizer inside and reassemble all components, leaving your fridge sparkling clean and smelling fresh.
